Ted Nilsson
Ted Nilsson embarked upon his DJing career in the mid 90s, as a young, ambitious and talented 15 year old, playing under the alias POFF and Rob Quixley. These early years gave Ted a chance to explore and expand his capabilities in terms of Trance, Techno, House and Hard House.
Ted left Sweden to explore the DJing scene in the Canary Islands and early on did he take on a residency at Fresh House, which with his original style to DJ generated gigs at the famous Space and Pacha, Canary Islands.
Mainland Spain beckoned Ted where, in 2002, he took on the noteworthy role of becoming resident at the illustrious London Underground, Costa del Sol. Ted had the pleasure of being joined by Brandon Block, Dean Lambert (Ministry Of Sound) & Simon Galley (Amnesia). The London Underground provided Ted with what he needed to stamp out a first rate reputation for himself as a DJ who plays dynamic, lively records which promise an ecstatic response from the dancefloor.
During this time, Global Radios dance show approached Ted, resulting in him doing a host of Live DJ sets for the show. Consequently, Ted met the shows host, David Hopkins (Pacha, Ibiza) who became Teds most significant feedback source for his productions and DJ mentoring. Producing dance music has always been a massive passion of Teds. To date, he has a number of record releases in Sweden and Spain, with more in the pipeline.
His enthusiasm for creating music led Ted to London, England in 2004 to enrol with S.A.E where he studied an aggressive and challenging course in Music Production. The curriculum allowed Ted to develop his creative side of production as well as teaching him the fundamentals of the music studio. His DJing never took a back seat however, as he was constantly working behind the decks at various clubs and pubs to fund his course.
After graduating from the course with a high merit, he was asked to become Resident DJ for All Funked Up. This residency has had Ted being joined by Neil Navarra (Miss Moneypennys, Chris Nobles (RedRoomSessions), Michael Manzella (Pacha, London) and the Live PA act, P2LP (Soul Furic Records).
