DJ GROOVELIKER is one of Polands top djs voted number 3 in TOP 100 BEST POLISH DJs (regardless of style) by the readers of Polands only clubbing/dance music magazine called LAIF in 2002, voted number 4 in 2003, number 8 in 2004 and, just recently, number 5 in 2005; he is the only dj apart from DJ Angelo Mike and DJ Glasse who has been in Top Ten of this dj chart every year since its very beginning; also chosen one of Polands top 5 DJs in POLISH DANCE AWARDS. He has always been involved in some kind of activity connected with music. In late 80s and early 90s he organized and played at parties with all kinds of alternative music: industrial, new beat, electro body music, etc. For a few years he was also involved in organizing and helping at organizing concerts and tours of independent bands coming to Poland (post punk, noise, industrial, punk, hardcore, etc.). He consequently became interested in new genres of electronic music, including what was later called techno. In 1997, together with Jacek Olszewski and Tomasz Kosinski, he established a small independent company called CITY BEATS they have been releasing CDs and cassettes, selling vinyl from many international labels all over Poland as a mail-order shop and also booking both Polish and famous international djs for parties all over the country. For good few years, Groovelikers trademark were london style underground techno and acid techno. He played at many small, underground parties all over the country and also at numerous squat parties and so-called teqnivals. However, all the time his musical taste was getting broader and gradually changing. These days Grooveliker most willingly plays a mixture of tribal and funky techno, also sometimes adding a bit of progressive/ tech-trance/ trance or even tech-house/house on top of it, or, if asked to do so, plays full sets in one of the mentioned styles. However, he is also still happy to play hard techno or acid techno, if requested to do so. Hes released a few dj-mix CD compilations, including a dj-mix CD for Polands leading clubbing magazine called TECHNO PARTY (1999), a CD compilation entitled Techno Traxx - Trancemission BPM (1998), a dj-mix CD entitled The Sound of the London Underground (2001), a dj mix for LAIF magazine called Funky Acid Techno (2004) plus a few other dj-mixes. A series of dj mixes spread in the Internet under a common name LOVE SONGS that are supposed to present his inner emotional journey, concentrating on areas around progressive, tribal, tech-trance and tech-house (so far, volumes 1,2,3,4 and 5 have been in the Internet circulation) is very popular among all kinds of listeners here.

He is currently working on his own tunes together with a promising production and live-act talent JAKUB RENE KOSIK. He also runs a techno review section for the above-mentioned dance music magazine LAIF.

Grooveliker are appearing at this year 's edition of CREAMFIELDS POLAND on July 1st on the outskirts of WROCLAW.

South-Poland's most known techno live-act, producer and respected dj, present on the scene since 1997; began producing back in 91 using software trackers + Amiga computer; later he started to collect hardware and learn how to make fully professional live-act; in 2000 he published a CD album called "Live Acid Sessions" (LeKOS); he was also the author of "Meadow 303" (CDC Rec., CZ) CD album; he has been producing music, soundtracks and sound effects for various companies, organisations, etc.; he has appeared all over Poland, including widely known venues such as "Nova Lokomotywa" and "Przestrzen Graffenberga" in Warsaw, "Kanty" - Jaworzno, "Metro" - Bialystok, "Hormon" - Kielce, "Relax" - Leszno, "Iskra" - Swidnik, "May day party" near Lublin, "Technosis" - Czerwiensk, most clubs in his hometown of Wroclaw and also at many free techno parties/ teknivals; JRK freely plays techno and acid techno and also many other genres; currently, he's playing progressive & tech-house stuff very often; at the moment, he's using the following hardware while playing live-act: Korg Electribe ESX Valve Force, Yamaha RM-1x, Korg Electribe ES-1, Roland EG- 101, Korg Electribe EA-1, Fostex DE-1, Korg Electribe ER-1, Behringer UB1204 FX Pro, Behringer VMX 100, Numark DM 1002 MKII, Behringer DFX69 Tweakalizer; he has appeared along many poland's top djs and also international artists, for example DJ Emerson, Holgi Star, Leandro Gamez, Oxia, Marco Remus, Oliver Ho, Jack de Marseille, Asem Shama, Alex Bau, Chris Liebing, Rafael Araujo, Takaaki Itoh, Alex Flatner, Pet Duo, Lawrie Immersion, Animatek, Chris Liberator, Henry Cullen aka D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Paula Temple, Darc Marc, Julian Sandell aka Julian Liberator, Martyn Hare, Mark Hawkins...

Jakub Rene Kosik are appearing at this year's edition of CREAMFIELDS POLAND on main Cream stage as a live-act at July 1st on the outskirts of WROCLAW and on polish edition of MAYDAY 2006.
