MATT THOMAS AKA BANGA PROFILE :
ARKTIK RECORDS was founded by Matt Thomas (AKA Banga Matt) in May 2000.
This fresh label specializes in the production, engineering, release and promotion of Hard Dance Music. Arktik Records has been growing in reputation and success, with reviews in Mix Mag, M8, and DJ Magazine. Continued support from top hard house DJs, including Andy Farley, Anne Savage, Karim and Simon Eve, has helped Arktik play a role in the continued development of music for the harder generation.
In June 1999, Matt Thomas saw his first release on legendary Karim's label Do Not Bend Recordings "Let it Hit on", co-produced with him. He later met Paul Jack , who became his label manager , and in May 2000, they launched Arktik Records with "Take it there".
Since then he has been producing classic tunes such as / Ur nobody / Hit the drip / Megabitch / Pushin / Power Up/ Deep Space remix / and his latest label Sketcha Traxx which focuses on the more techno side of things and has been getting great support from techno legends such as Dave the Drummer , Alex Calver , DMF. with tunes such as Silent Dance , Groove control - and Matt s superb remix of !Phantom! .
As well as receiving praise for his production work, Matts DJing is taking off in a big way. Matt has been , and continues to be, invited to spin tunes in many clubs in the UK and abroad:
From San Fransisco to Australia with future bookings in Japan .Poland , Finland , New Zealand and Corsica.
