A.M.G.
I started djing when I was 15, playing happy hardcore and gabber and just giving out mix tapes to friends. Within my first year of getting my decks I started playing in my dad's pub with a friend. There was nobody in like but we enjoyed ourselves haha.
At 16 I started a music tech course in college and there I learned how music was actually made. Some of the things I was shown are a bit crap now but at the time it blew my mind. Oh yeah, Eddie Halliwell was in the year above me at college too, (I remeber you scratching along to your groovebox mate lol). While I was at college me and my friend started doing mobile disco's, playing various bars, schools and doing dodgy weddings and birthday parties. We did this for a few years until I gave it up due to the fact that I could not stand to hear 5ive or Britney Spears ever again. So I just knuckled down at college began constructing my own tunes. During this time my djing Styles went from Funky House to Trance and then i found Tidy Trax...and then i fell in love with Hard House. After 4 years at college I got my degree, Then I decided to have a bash at a radio course but I wont go into that!
Since I left college, I got more into making tunes using Propellorheads' amazing software Reason. I started developing my sound and ended up winning a remix competition for 12 Inch Thumpers and had it pressed onto vinyl. I was over the sodding moon with this and it just gave me the push that i needed to further what i was doing.
But since then, time moved on and things changed...I started djing with a friend (Warb) playing Electro House. The Disko Ticklerz were born!. We played at loads of gigs across the northwest and did various remixes. All was going well but I was just bursting to play Hard House again.
I became Assistant Manager of my local Record Shop (Reality Records) and slowly but surely got back into the scene again, now I just cant get enough of it. I have developed my DJ sound to include all sorts from rough n tough Techno to filthy Hard House and Nasty as fook Hardstyle. I have also got into the studio and producing some rather nasty bastards.
Hope you all enjoy what you hear and hopefully i'll see you soon in a darkened room filled with sweaty folk!
You can catch me playing at various night such as Nuclear Audio, Let's 'Av It!! (Kubik afterparties), Roaches, Bare Essence, Disfunktional.
If im not playing anywhere im usually dancing me little socks of in nights such as Kubik, Goodgreef, Vicious Circle, Cream, Bare Essence, Roaches, plus loads more!
