In March 2005, Spex's first single 'Asteroid' was played by DJ Fonar on a big Russian radio station. Later that year, Spex reworked 'Asteroid' and the new version was even more successful. It was played on DI.fm and was soon picked up by SOG Records to be released on vinyl with a remix from Brisker & Magitman.

'Asteroid' and the remix began to get even more support from DJs and in April 2006, it was Mental X's Shake Essetnial Tune. In June and August, the Brisker & Magitman remix was licensed to two compilations (SOG Files MMVI and Labyrinth Essential 002).

Following the success of 'Asteroid' Spex has now been signed to the Canadian label Often Gruven and UK based Neuroscience Deep. He has gained the support from Solarstone, Gareth Emery, Suzy Solar and DJ Taucher to name but a few.
