Bryant Baker is one of the rising artists in the US electronic music scene.
This former rock band member has been heavy involved with electronic music since the early 90’s. Growing up in the latter part of the late 80’s, he would be influenced by groups such as Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys, U2, New Order, and more. Into the mid 90’s, he has been greatly exposed to different forms of music such as disco, house, breaks, electro, techno, funk & soul, and more. Although he lived in the city dominated by hip-hop, the Los Angeles native experienced electronic music where such DJs as Bad Boy Bill, DJ Irene, Richard "Humpty" Vission and DJ Enrie were commingling sounds, and just developing a new style of hard house music for the L.A. culture that would eventually take the nation by storm.
With a rich musical background, Bryant began producing and experimenting with electronic music in 1999. He started several projects with former partner, Leo Swarovski, and as both produced under the alias “P.T.” creating house and dark progressive tracks. After years of experience, Bryant began developing his own distinctive and unique sound as he is obsessed with finding and exposing new style of techno. Although very versatile, he loves to produce a blend of thriving tribalistic percussions and big funky basslines for maximum effect on the dance floor. His productions present the same kind of powerful driving beats that audiences have come to embrace in his DJ sets.
In 2001, Bryant would finally buy his first decks. He starting spinning and he never looked back… He likes to create an electrifying atmosphere and has the ability to dazzle the crowd while keeping them anticipated on their toes, consistently bringing new and cutting edge sounds. He enriches himself on energetic sets consisting of anything from the tribal sounds, to a funky, electro, or progressive driving style of house and techno. Bryant plays an active part of the west coast scene with gigs at some of the best and biggest clubs in Hollywood like the super-club Spundae Circus, and is a resident DJ on Addictive Beat Radio.
In 2006, Bryant released his first breakthrough massive electro-techno vinyl e.p. “Combustion” on Soul Access records. The release was a complete success! Within days the release sold out in record stores and played by many DJs from around the globe, such as DJ Preach, Randy Kantana, Wehbba, DJ Mary, Dejan Milicevic, Marko Nastic, Marco Asoleda; and it was also included in Sander van Doorn’s famous “Identity Mix” for January 2007.
Bryant’s unquestionable relentless drive and passion continues as his future looks bright.
