Chris B
Chris B started his musical career about 9 years ago, it was around the time trance was starting to take off and all the classic songs we recognise today were just out.
He got his first set of record decks and didnt look back. After about a year and a half of sending out demos and trying to get in contact with people in the industry he was put in touch with the boss of Kiss Fm at the time, and was given his first chance on pirate radio, this was the break he had been working towards for a long time.
There were several small gigs that came from this but mainly under 18s nights and only a handful of proper over 18s nights. So after spending several years jumping from station to station, he decided to leave the radio scene. Soon after this he started a 1 year DJ techniques course in Bray Co, Wicklow which would end up changing his life, he learned how to produce using Cubase and Ableton as well as learning all about how music works.
He graduated top of the class and then decided to do the sound engineering and music technology course there which was a 2 year diploma. Throughout his time in college, Chris met some people who he set up and big night in Dublin with called Hardstyle Nation & Trancelation. These nights combined were ment to give the clubbers a choice of different styles instead of just one style.
These nights were very successful for Chris and his partners in the venture; they had the pleasure of bringing over the biggest names in the business to play at their night. They included Simon Patterson, Tyler Leigh, Greg Downey, Judge Jules, Gaz West aka Dark by Design, Alex Kidd, Brian M and Mc Bunn, Cally & Juice and many more.
Since all this madness had happened Chris has realised many dreams and goals that he had wanted to do. So now his main focus is producing music, he has been doing this for 4 years now and in April of 08 he got signed to receptive records in the UK, he signed 3 trance songs to the label. Since then he has grown a bit more and his songs are evidence of this, listening to his songs you will see that he has learned many more skills to use and also is a lot more creative in his use of sounds.
For the future Chris plans to keep getting better at producing and also plans on working & collaborating with some good people he has come across on his travels.
