Budai & Vic
DJ Budai started his DJ carrier in 1988 in local clubs playing
that times black music, from funky, disco to rap music. He was
one of the hungarian DJs who first started to spin house and
techno music in the country in 1991. Since then he became the countrys
most successful techno DJ, played on hundreds of parties all over Hungary
and other countries as well. He created the first hungarian electronic
music magazine, FREEE in 1995. Hungarian major labels released
four CDs mixed by him and sold ten thousands of them. He also started
to make techno music in 1998 with a producer and released tracks through
independent labels. Hungarian music TVs played the video clips of these.
Budai also remixed hungarian bands and his tracks are on many
compilations.
Vic started to produce house tracks in 1996 with his school friend
under the name of Sonic Age. Their tracks started to appear on
compilations in 97, later BMG Hungary released two LPs of them. They
also did remixes for hungarian bands and DJs, did liveacts all across
the country.
Budai
and Vic met in 2000 and decided to produce tracks together and create
an independent label to release them by themselves. They used to make
groovy tracks that contain the funk and a positive vibe,
happiness, but still built on a strong rhythm.
