Carbilicon
Carbilicon is the psychedelic-electro-tech-trance alias of Noah D Richardson. I could go into all about how I rather feel like an alien in a human's skin, and all that but, it's old and I'm here to tell a different story. Noah has had much exposure to all music types.
Noah began his first excursion into the electronic music world back in the early nineties with alternative synth-pop bands. Then in 1995 Noah heard Juno Reactor for the first time. Then onto more Goa trance and then into psytrance, IDM, downtempo and ambient music. He began DJing under the name DJ Foaf through high school in Eugene, OR, playing Goa classics. In college Noah became more integrated with the underground, and met some friends who called themselves "The Innerverse".
After about two years, they all drifted apart, and Noah wasn't producing yet, but was still buying psytrance vinyl and cds, but by 2000- 2001, vinyl was becoming thin and a lot of compilations were coming out. He had a few DJ sessions in Portland, where he lived in from 2000 to 2006. There Noah met Nathan "Gypsy" Torres and the two formed a project called "Nano"- dark psytrance and weird psybient. By this time Noah was calling himself DJ Carbilicon, and had been producing music since 2001. Three full-length cds and a few EPs later, Carbilicon music in now available on this label. He lives in Roseburg, OR with his wife and two kids. Staying up late, writing tracks and playing out here and there.
