In the last few years of his DJ career spanning almost 11 years, Mr. E (South Australia’s DJ Ben) has found time to teach himself the art of producing. In the studio, he regularly creates and pumps out anything from Hard House and NRG through to Hardcore. Being classically trained in piano since the age of 7, he finds that this is just a new development from what he has learnt through this musical upbringing and uses his musical knowledge and skills as often as he can.
On top of a hectic DJ schedule, Ben also co-hosts the hugely popular, weekly radio show ‘Mentazm’. Being an active part in the local industry in Adelaide, South Australia, Ben believes it is his constant presence in the scene which helps him gauge what is it that people want to hear. ‘As much as I’m producing the music for myself, I’m also excited at the idea that other people can hear it to and get just as much enjoyment from it that I do.”
