Rude Awakening


Rude Awakening (Sebastian Hoff) has become an important ambassador of the Hard Techno scene with his innovative work. Taking off with the fresh concept and new sub label ‘r_AW’ in 2002, bordering on the genres of Techno and Industrial. “In fuck you mode” was the first r_AW release. Going forward were several further innovative releases, with ground breaking industrial sounds, shaking up the genres and moving them beyond borders. In 2005 the very well received album “Forward Observer” was released, the first full album as his alter ego Rude Awakening, Hoff looks ahead by looking back and thereby takes an important step in the development of experimental Hard Techno. Rude Awakening expresses many genuine sounds and styles, the ultimate combination of funked up tweaks, heavy kicks, dark emotional breaks in combination with the cutting edge of hard techno and industrial noise, he has received high gratification for his work.
