As a producer Lum has quietly produced more than 60 projects in the last 2 years. Fans of his music appreciate the ever-present funk that he brings to his craft. Tracks or songs, he manages to keep the dance floor aesthetic in tact. A peek into his discography reveals some the hottest underground cuts of the last few years. Records like "Big Tool" on Tango have been staples in the crates of today's biggest DJ's. On any given night his productions can be heard from the likes of DJ Dan, Mark Farina, Youssef, Lottie and Danny Rampling.

Other titles such as his 2003 Grammy nominated remix of Jill Scott's "He Loves Me", are destined to be played for the next decade. In an age of hype, trend and purchased celebrity, Lum prides himself on being an artist with the ability to remain true to his roots while demonstrating commercial viability. Listen to his works and you will hear the influences that fuel his creativity. Funk, Afro-Latin, R&B and New Wave stylings give his work a unique place in an industry mired in mediocrity. In addition to his abilities as a producer, Lum is also a songwriter. As a producer, he understands what a good and honest song can do to people's souls. As a DJ, Lum has proven that his sound can move crowds of all sizes. Spanning the globe in recent years, he has soaked in various dance floor cultures like a sponge. His skills have placed him in front of crowds in the UK, Spain, France, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and throughout the United States. Lum has been a working DJ for 12 years and in that time has seen many sounds come and go, but one thing always remains the same...People love rhythm and movement and they just love to have fun: which is the exact vibe he brings to each set he plays. Whether it is at The Southport Weekender in the UK (2001 and 2002) Field Day and Home nightclub in Sydney (2003) or Ministry Of Sound in London (2002), Lum always drops music that makes people want to dance and that HE himself feels. Bringing his love of many styles of house, Lum is able to play sets spanning the array of house. Funky, rhythmic, dirty, melodic and groove are phrases that been uttered from his fan base to describe his sound. It is Lum's diversity of sounds and skills as a smooth technician that has given many a dance floor sweaty nights. It is this combination that makes Lum a sure bet for any promoter in the know.

In addition, throughout the 14 years he has been involved in the sub culture of dance music, Chris has diversified his skill sets and palette beyond DJ'ing and producing. A six year stint as the buyer at BPM records, then San Francisco's only dance music retail outlet, gave Chris the understanding of what the buying public go for and what professionalism is really worth in this industry. Lum also currently allocates a fair bit of time doing engineering work for a growing list of clientele. His mixing skills can be heard on many independant dance labels such as Wave or King Street and major's such as J records and MCA. Just to top it off, Lum has added label management, club photography and event promotions to his resume. These creative components are the backbone of the Abitare Music Group (AMG), a company formed in the beginning of 2004 by Chris and two long time friends. AMG will be the vehicle for Chris to showcase his musical and business range within the independent music scene. AMG will consist of 3 companies covering the fields of production, publishing and, the flagship of the company, the AMG label. Set to launch in the summer of 04, the AMG label will be the soundtrack to these aforementioned experiences and will live up to the definition of it's name. Living Music.
