Now for the funker. This one starts off with a real techno rumble and percussion and a (slightly!) more forgiving kick, building up to one of the best basslines i've heard all year - a real groover, but not cheesy or contrived, just pure hard funk. Excellent synth and sample work show off the quality of the engineering (Dave Parkinson once more at the controls) before the 'Catch Da Vibe' vocals come in. Chris is being a lot more creative than most, with interesting sounds and vocals and this track is no exception - and the vocal fits perfectly with the riff and sound of the track. When it drops at the end of the intricate break you can't help but swing your pants. the perfect accompaniment to the a-side!!
