Track Information: Maarten de Jong got his first spinning table when he was 13 years old. From that moment on his life was all about music. At only 15, he started working as a DJ in local clubs. It didn’t take long before he was a local hero in the area. After that he performed in several clubs which made him the youngest DJ in the Dutch club scene! Then, at 17 he also started to produce for several DJs. One of these was Mental Theo. A year later he performed in the formation Club Crew on the main stage of Frequence 2001, a festival hosting more than 10.000 party people! In 2001, Maarten de Jong was a well known DJ in Time Out, the largest club in the Netherlands, but after a while he decided to get back to producing again. He got in touch with John Marks of White Villa Records and together they made several successful remixes for DJs like DJ JOSE, John Marks, and Artento Divini. At 24 now, Maarten de Jong is already responsible for several hits by other DJs. The year 2007 started really well for him. He has made a monster remix of the track The Shrink - Nervous Breakdown, which is a real club hit. His style is a combination of Tech trance / Progressive trance / techno. After ten years of producing for others it’s time for his own aim for the footlight. His first track is called Massive, a massive monster with a rough mix of Trance and Techno. The additional track is a remix of Trance, Progressive and Minimal. Several DJs like Armin van Buuren, Melvin Warning and Randy Katana already supported the track. Armin van Buuren even played the track in A State of Trance. Sander van Doorn played it on Trance Energy! Massive is sure to be a huge club hit! Vinyl release of this awesome track will be June 4th 2007 by DanceVilla (a division of White Villa). In July 2007 Maarten de Jong started a co-production with Melvin Warning, resulting in the monster track Era! Both Maarten and Melvin have produced many smashes this year and it's good to see the two collaborate on this awesome track, sounding as good out loud as on paper! The original mix features all the trademark production elements from the two artists, with techno influenced drums, a very loud stabby main lead and everything put together nicely in an enticing trance break. The R Mynze mix adds a funky shuffled groove to the riff and heads for the more melodic approach, while the Melvin Warning mix is chaotic tech through and though, destined to pretty much mess with peoples heads!!
