Abora Recordings
In 2006, Abora followed the rest of the industry with a greater emphasis placed upon digital releases in a move away from vinyl. With this in mind came the first digital release, Steve Callaghan - Shelter (ABRD001), which was remixed by Fraser Hamilton, another up and coming talent from the UK, and Evasive. The track was massive and had great support from top DJs including Above & Beyond who played Evasives remix on their Ministry of Sound radio show as well as up and down the country at various gigs. Off the back of this success ABRD002 came in late spring of 2006, with a more continental feel, Danish producer Yamin and the vocal talents of American Marcie Schwartz provided a stunning progressive trance release entitled, Blanket of White. Similarly to ABRD001, the DJ support was overwhelming, the likes of Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schultz spinning the tune. As 2006 entered its final quarter, Abora released ABRD003, Michael Angelo & Jims Desert Path which was a continuation of the consistent sound and quality employed by the label.
