NEW MUSIC INTERNATIONAL,
born 20 years ago, is one of the best known and leading independent
record labels in Italy. It gained worldwide exposure with many
successful productions as How Gee by Black Machine, Joe Inferno and
Immaginazione 2, cult productions in the 90s and still requested for
licensing in the whole world. Further success and prestige came with
well-known artists such as Gloria Gaynor, Sister Sledge, Jimmy Bo Horne
and Jimmy Cliff, as well as from Latin productions, which are very
requested and always in sales and airplay and club charts in the 90s -
in Italy and in the world. Club Med acquired El Pam Pam as one of the
title track of all holiday villages in the world. Following: El
Tipitipitero as performed by Cecilia Gayle and Los Locos (double
platinum in one year only!).
New Music International also means international Hits: TI.PI.CAL. The Colour Inside, Lay Gee The Game Is Over, Neja and Restless, Lady Violet Inside Outside, Yuyu Mon Petit Garçon; Platinum and Gold compilations: Mix In Time, Minimax, Superestate Latina. Always looking for the best international music, the Company distinguished itself as licensee for Italy of big acts like Technotronic (double gold) or more recently Attention! by Commander Tom, 666, and the worldwide hit The Dark Side Of The Moon by Dutch duo Ernesto Vs Bastian.
Besides its activity on the international market, New Music International keeps on developing projects for Italian music with Artists like Paolo Belli, who enjoys huge popularity from tv, and the brand new sensation in boybands, Studio 3, silver awarded for more than 30.000 sold copies first album - and now working in studio to translate their songs in Spanish for the South American markets, where they are very requested: in January 2007 their first international live show will take place in Miami. Seba, an emergent and intense singer-songwriter, topped the Italian airplay charts with his songs.
