BR909 Records

BR909 Records its a brazilian underground eletronic music label based in Curitiba (Paraná_ - Brazil. It shows some of the south-brazilian finest Dj and producer´s definition of the local clubbing and raves techno scene.

Rafael Araujo and Ilan Kriger are the new talent regarded as south of Brazils finest techno / house producers as well as being a highly regarded Djs, resident at Curitiba´s excelent parties Big Fish and Technose. The boys also run the biggest brazillian Dj and production school - AIMEC (www.aimec.com.br), the Groovechannel website (www.groovechannel.com.br) and the Eletrogralha community website (www.eletrogralha.com.br).

They also team up with Daniel Azulai for the crazy brazilian vocals on the top of the beats. Daniel is one of the most representative vocalists in the hard core punk scene of the south of Brazil.

The label has 7 releases out in a total of 14 tracks. Mostly of them were sould out. Also released a CD compilation together with the brazillian major label URBR.

BR909 represents the sound of Big Fish parties and underground techno scene from Curitiba - south of Brazil. Rafael Araujo and Ilan Kriger get together to delivery a very special feeling and banging techno tracks, trying to make the label as how you feel when you are in a techno rave in Brazil.

The meaning of BR909 is related to the highways of Brazil, wich are known as the BRs. 909 is from the TR909, classic drum machine. So together they are BR909, the techno highway.

Now BR909 comes digitally as well. If you like the brazillian vibe, dont hesitate to check the tracks available !!!

Recently, BR909 released a remix via Cutz Recordings, from the USA. The first remix from BR909, out of their own label. The track remixed was Greg Kobe - Children Of The Revolution. The remix will be out in June. Make sure you check this out. More infos on www.cutz.org.
