Hardscience Recordings was formed in 2004 originally as an artist management company showcasing Hard Dance & Hardcore/Freeform artists based in the Northwest area. Local artists who showed much potential with common goals and interests were quickly recruited to be involved with any projects Hardscience had forthcoming as well as providing an online resource for self-promotion. Since its conception, the company has worked with many local promoters in coordinating events and bookings for many national and international artists such as Paul Glazby, Lisa Lashes, Chris C, Madam Zu, Morgan, Kultcha, Andrew Innes, CBR, Derrick Wilson, Tyrant, and Mobius to name a few. Managed by Dave Science & Ryan Alexander, the two have been actively involved in pushing Hard Dance and Freeform in North America since early 2000 in their respective locations, Anchorage, AK and Seattle, WA.

In 2002 they formed the Reaction DJs as an effort to further expose themselves and their style to others without worrying about competing for local gigs. With having shared the same goal to increase awarness of Hard Dance in the U.S, they began producing their own material to increase the number of producers in North America which still to this day, has no comparison to their UK counterparts. Following the steps of HardNRG.com formed by pioneers DJ Morgan and Kemical Kidd, they created an online resource for their own company establishing themselves with other existing communities related to the same genres of music.

In mid-2003 they discovered that one of their close friend and rival djs, Ian K, was also becoming involved with writing Hard Dance and Hardcore. After seeing the potential he had with his unreleased work, he was quickly added to the roster forming the core of the collective that will eventually become a label. As their production skills grew with closely meeting the standard of today's established producers, Hardscience Recordings was born in 2004 as an outlet to release their own material to share with the rest of the world focusing on Hard Dance, Hardcore, and Freeform. Hardscience's core artists include Ian K, Ryan Alexander, Dave Science, Twisted Freq, Todd P, Tyrant, and DJ Dummy. Hardscience also has plans to release original and remix material from other established artists around the world.
