Track Information:
Pure Thrust was originally released in 2002 on the late Alphamagic's Difuse Records imprint, where it quickly became one of the biggest selling and most talked about and played records, featuring a stunning remix from Italian duo Nu NRG. British legend Eddie Halliwell and Germany's Paul van Dyk and Cosmic Gate were among the first to support this tune. Their version brought an innovative new sound previously unheard in the trance community and established the nowadays greatly used sidechain effect, which was first heard on french house productions. This tune set the path for Nu NRG's rise to stardom.
Six years later and it's time to revive this must-have classic with all new, as well as lost remixes on Dave Joy's most successfull label Thrust Groove Records. Dave who originally produced this track together with Franky Fonell and Chris Reece was able to get UK's Chris & Matt Kidd and Trackitdown's own Olly Perris on remix duties. The result of which are two slamming and up to date versions that are built to suit todays taste.
Chris & Matt Kidd deliver a driving Tech-Trancer keeping Nu NRG's basic ideas and sounds but added a turbo boost and just like the title claims, this is taking off with Pure Thrust. London based Olly Perris delivers a remix to rock the UK scene and further beyond. Pure energy hard house paired with the unforgettable melody of the original production is a sure winner to be played by the cream of todays Hard Dance jocks.
Part 2 with more Nu NRG variations as well as forgotten and never before heard versions will be revealed a few weeks after this initial release...
