The a-side for this release is home to the harder of the two tracks. Given that it's a collaboration with fellow Insekt promoter Marc Johnson, you're probably not entirely surprised! Opening with the sort of huge kick which i always think of as pointy, it means business. The bassline is a monster and has some sort of shuffle which i can't quite put my finger on, and the track builds right up to the break with increasing numbers of filthy synth lines, percussion samples and loops, synth stabs and cut up vocals before Jack Nicholson himself ushers in the razor sharp riff. You barely have chance to rest your legs before the track slams back in, and romps home.
