Body Movin'

Combat

Hard Dance (Hard House)

Comb004a

8:36

Featured Track:
Engineered by Nick Sentience. Big rap sounds and classic hard house vibes propel this eight minutes of euphoria to heaven and back. Highlight of three new killer tracks out this week on the fast rising Combat label. Killer Andy Farley style funk.
Track Information:

Body Movin is the product of one of Chris' visits to Nick Sentience's studio, and is probably one of the most complex and well put together tracks I've heard engineered by Nick.

It contains many of Chris' trademarks, from the typically unconventional groovy bassline, to the rap vocal and unusual samples. I'm sure there's one from 'Mindblowing' in there somewhere!

The track builds on the groove of the bassline all the way to the break with more and more elements coming in to the mix all the time from acid stabs, dirty synth grooves, vocal snippets and parts of the rap all held together with cuts and edits throughout. The eerie breakdown is underpinned by a sub riff and evil breakbeat with rave hoover stabs, while the riff filters in without you really noticing. The windup to the drop is immaculate as ever giving the track loads of power when it drops, with the riff complementing the groove of the bassline perfectly. The wind-down is again perfectly constructed for mixing out of.
