Last month we had the Hard House Bible, and this month we are treated to a real history of German and European trance from Mark EG and Hindsight’s Nick The Kid. This time, rather than split the album in to past and present, both artists have mashed up the old and the new to create a complete history of the sound. Covering 49 tracks across the two CDs (21 for Mark’s mix and an unlikely 28 for Nick’s) you get a real feel for the genre with many a trip down memory lane included. There are big, iconic riffs galore which even hard house fans will recognise (Scot Project, S.H.O.K.K., Flutlicht), raging basslines, deep kicks and some very clever programming of the mixes which never leave you bored.
