DJ Snowman - Falling Lights (The Remixes) [Phoenix Recordings - NIX024R]
A true pioneer of trance is back; DJ SNOWMAN pre-celebrates his 20th anniversary coming in 2012 with his all new single FALLING LIGHTS.
On the move since 1992 when electronic music started to attack the disco infected dancefloors with Jam & Spoon, Marusha, Dr. Motte, Scooter and co showing the world what tekkno was all about, a little group of Swiss DJs picked it up and began to spread this all new, fresh and granny-disturbing sound to a, at first small, but soon rapidly rising audience. PLUR was the motto and colorful dresses, white gloves and whistles became a way of life for many admirers of this sound. In the same year the first demonstration for Love, Peace, Liberty, Generosity and Tolerance took place in Zurich, the dance capital of Switzerland; the Streetparade was born and DJ Snowman started his international career as one of the first ambassadors of the Swiss dance scene.
20 years and countless mixtapes, releases, CDs, remixes, air miles and international gigs later, DJ Snowman has not lost any of his love to Trance still performing his bouncy sets in and around Switzerland. Falling Lights is a worthy offering to start celebrating next year's anniversary.
The two part release is as interesting as the above story. Part one includes the beautiful Original Mix alternatively coming with an Intro Mix to perfectly start a good night's set and a short version for radio plays. Phoenix Recordings boss DJ Madwave adds a more progressive tech trance version and finally UKs Brett Wood delivers a slightly harder version for peaktime hard trance sets. Those two slammers are included in the remix edition.
