Track Information: For the first release on Soul Life Recordings we are delighted to offer a 3 track EP full of flavour from Illusive. Opening up the EP is ‘Soul Child’, a feel-good track which quickly settles into it’s stride taking influences from funk, soul and disco and propelling them forward with an insistent, shuffling house rhythm. The chorus, complete with vocal hook and infectious Motown style glockenspiel chimes is sure to raise a smile, as well as a few hands in the air! Next up is ‘Feel The Music’ which brings a Mediterranean flavour to the proceedings with it’s blend of Rhodes, Spanish guitar and latin vocal adlib that’s full of the promise of the summer to come. Last but not least is ‘Spirit Rising’, closing the EP on a deeper level with a wonderful rising chord progression complimented by soaring strings and echoing melodic accompaniment before finally a euphoric gospel choir emerges for an uplifting conclusion.
