Originally produced some time back in 2006, Interface by LMH has now been whizzed and remixed up for its release on fledgling label V8 Recordings as their third track.
Theyve already had some success with their first two releases, K Theory by Kenzie & Cobain and Feedback by Audiotek and on the sounds of it theyre in line for more kudos with this fine track.
Coming in two flavours, the first is remixed by label manager Andy Prosser and in house producer Ross Mackenzie. Building nicely from a bouncing bass line into the strings and fleeting piano riff of the breakdown before the arpeggioed melody drops in again building up the energy.
Its the next mix which got me going though. No wonder as its by legend Jon the Baptist working under his JTB guise. The sound is tougher all round with a more defined kick drum and repeated musical phrase behind the melody. Youll find a lot more energy in the break as well as a breakbeat slowly comes in. The rest of the track keeps it tough but uplifting (but no surprises there). Ill definitely be playing this mix over the coming weeks.
All in all a strong release for V8 and out very soon so keep your eyes peeled.
