Mark Sherry: "Great release from Tempo!" 2010 was a prolific year for Tempo Giusto - along with several singles and compilation releases during the year, in October he released his debut album Premiering In Theaters which was received with enthusiasm. Unknown Dancer and Circus Maximus are the first new original compositions by Tempo Giusto since the album release and thus give hint of where he is taking his sound next. Unknown Dancer as the A-side of the EP kicks in with a hard bass drive and cutting percs. The first part soon descends to bring out the main theme, a vast riff which lifts up with huge energy for the main part. Despite the raw power, there is the kind of emotional beauty in this sequence and development which blows a theme into life. Circus Maximus refers to the ruthless chariot races of the Roman times. The track has a like spirit, with a brutal drive and thrusting percussions. The skirmishing first part brings out a ferociously yelling lead which evolves from an accentuating effect to a full-fledged theme with an explosive melody, and launches the main part into a densely pumped climax.
