Barcelona has a new summer festival to add to its already impressive summer schedule. I am Global will position itself as Europe's biggest water park festival with 200 artists spread over three stages at the Illa Fantasia water park. On March 2nd 2015, Serato has announced the public beta version for its Serato DJ 1.7.4, supporting Pioneer DJM-900NXS, DJM-850, and Allen & Heath Xone. Those who own a Club Kit license (a Serato DJ license paired with a DVS expansion license) will be able to connect to the Club Kit hardware and use DB2 and DB4 mixers as the heart of a DVS. This lets you control Serato DJ with turtables or CDJ's using timecode vinyl and CD's.
In the past, controllers like Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 worked only as Midi devices, meaning that you still had to run a splitter cable from your Android device's headphone jack to your speakers and headphones. The latest update to the "Djay 2 for Android" Dj software solves this problem by letting you use onboard sound cards of supported DJ controllers. In turn, you get full stereo headphone cueing and master output by connecting your headphones/speakers straight to your controller.
