Whoop! Records are one of the UK’s longest running independent dance labels. Having carved a name for themselves through a solid output of quality music, the label can safely count ALL the greatest house DJs as supporters! Having reached their milestone 100th release, 12 years after its inception Whoop! prepare to drop the awesome ‘House Stompin 06’ by Bump

Founded in the summer of 1994 when label boss’ Andrew Lekker and Joel Xavier (then fresh to London) were regulars at seminal London parties like Loosen Up and Drum Club and inspired by the blossoming ‘progressive’ house sound these clubs where germinating the pair set up Whoop! alongside the monthly club night of the same name as an output for what they considered was the most forward thinking sound around.

Bump AKA Steve Travell & Marc Auerbach were a DJ/ production duo responsible for the Deconstruction classic ‘I’m Rushin’ and of course, the awesome ‘House Stompin’ a single thats status was concreted by Sasha & Digweed when they included it on their now legendary DJ mix album ‘Renaissance – The Mix Collection 1’

Fast-forward to 2006 and Whoop! have decided to re-release this classic as it was a singles that initially inspired them to start the Whoop! empire, a fitting tribute if there ever was one! Here they deliver a selection of brand new mixes including one from Steve Travell (one half of the original Bump line up) alongside Andy Tex Jones, the hugely in demand Paradise Soul, DJ Mag and Danny Rampling tipped producers Streetlife and Type resident and up and coming producer Richard Dinsdale rounding off a superb package.
