1: Justice versus Simian: We Are Your Friend (Virgin/ Ed Banger Records)

Previously known by its enigmatic title Never Be Alone, Justice & Simian’s still fresh sounding electro (clash) anthem gets a new title and a new label as Virgin go for a full scale release that by rights should ensure crossover dance-floor success for a track that’s already a genuine classic (courtesy of DJ Hell’s Gigolo in 2004).

Two new mixes have been added, the interesting one (for those that already know it) being Lee Cabrera’s cut up dub style version, which breathes new life into it without sacrificing its essence and for those that don’t know it. Radioslave & Spencer Parker add DJ friendly four/ four intros and outros to top and tale what’s overwise the original.

Fantastic, floor filling and fine: 11/10.

2: Archibell: Hands Of A Stranger (Topplers)

Just as Justice look set for the stars with their very first (2004) production, fellow French based duo Guillame Manbell and Greg Kazubski sneak on their blindside to deliver a stunningly effective abrasive electro monster that’s immediately reminiscent of their current smash record Waters Of Nazareth.

Happily Pedro Winter (Justice’ and Daft Punk’s manager) is strongly supporting the track (with DJ Hell again- and Chloe) suggesting if Justice the new Daft Punk then Archibell can be the new Justice.

Same, same but different: and great.
