8 South London youths appeared before the Old Bailey this week accused of murdering clubber Charles Anoyke, 23, at Brixton's Mass club in August,
allegedly because they'd been annoyed by his "wild dancing".
Mr Anoyke was stabbed 13 times in the chest and back by a gang who attacked him outside the club after a fire alarm forced the premises to be evacuated.
According to his friend James Idamakin, the pair had been menaced by fellow clubbers inside the club about their dancing with one telling them at one point "you're blocking my view" though denied they'd acted in any way
provocatively. Mr Anoywas set upon outside after becoming separated from his friend outside and died on the way to hospital. His attackers also stole his
keys and mobile phone.
The killing was caught on CCTV, the Standard reported this week, though all eight men have pleaded innocent to both murder and violent disorder.
