Fabriclive Get Involved!

Reported by Ed Real on October 31, 2007

Friday 2nd November 2007, 9.30pm- 5am

FABRICLIVE Room One will be commandeered by five of the finest British talents in a celebration of five years of local industry stalwart Get Involved on November 2. Having grown into one of the UK’s most dynamic entertainment companies, Get Involved has become the driving force behind some of the finest and most popular festivals, artists and brands, and now plays host to the legendary FABRICLIVE Room One with a quintet of their roster’s finest artists.

Fresh from their outrageous comparing and antics at Get Involved and Sunday Best’s bountiful, boutique Bestival, The Cuban Brothers pop lock n’ shimmy their shiny sneaker pimp styles to FABRICLIVE like Speedy Gonzalez with Deep Heat in his pants. The Cuban Brothers are notorious for whipping every crowd into a wild stupor, down on their knees in fits of laughter to literal emulations of their raucous break dance routines with that infamous Cubans panache. Expect comedy, dancing, nudity, touching and Cigars all to a Havana soul’n’swing musical score.

If The Cuban Brothers have more than whetted your Poncho, The Dub Pistols will really have you drooling. Another Bestival favourite this year, The Dub Pistols have spent eons of time engrossing fans the globe over including the blaze from their current volatile tour of world domination with live shows smashing a frenzy of breaks and skank. As unpredictable and exciting as ever The Dubs bring their full live show to an already red hot night.

If the visual feast is more than your tickled tummy can succumb to, the deck wrecking DJ Yoda will have you spilling earfuls of sunshine with his master class in turntablery. Cut‘n’paste veteran, Yoda brings his supreme chic with rare tweaks of comedy for a non-stop entertaining mix’n’blend. Tricks are for kids and we’re all waiting like Christmas morning for Yoda’s toy box of bombastic bangers none-so delicately mashed together for that feel good finger in the air fun.

Thee Earls round off the line up with their swashbuckling art rock pedigree, comprised of an exemplary array of DJs, musicians and producers including Prankster/Lionrock/Revtone don Justin Robertson. Having spent their careers pushing the boundaries of what has become the electronic evolution, this underground super group carries the caché of bleep deep in the swagger of rock for some of the freshest sounds around.

Come and Get Involved!
