A new study of what kind of dancing attracts women to men has discovered that twitchy repetitive moves repel while arm and leg movements are also less important than what men are doing with their knees and necks.
"We found that (women paid more attention to) the core body region: the torso, the neck, the head,” chief researcher and psychologist Dr Nick Neave told the Royal Society Journal Biology Letters.
“It was not just the speed of the movements, it was also the variability of the movement. So someone who is twisting, bending, moving, nodding,” he added.
The British psychologist was examining whether human courtship behaviour mirrored that of animals and concluded that men dancing vigorously with a fast-moving right knee and ‘large, varied movements of their neck and torso’ were more likely attract mates than ‘dad dancers’.
“We now know which area of the body females are looking at when they are making a judgement about male dance attractiveness,” said the Doctor, “If a man knows what the key moves are, he can get some training and improve his chances of attracting a female through his dance style.” (TheLocal.de)
Details of the dancing study emerged just as researchers from Erciyes University in Kayseri in Turkey unveiled the results of a study examining the relationship between fatness and sexual performance. The scientists discovered that while skinny men typically lasted just 108 seconds men with high BMIs (Body Mass index) on average took 7.3 minutes to reach orgasm when making love.
However, medical website Hollow Hill reported that obesity increases the risk of both diabetes and heart disease so the ability to perform longer and longer sexual marathons could be a cause for concern.
“In fact, a sexual slowdown is often the first sign of either disease,” said Hollow-Hill, “So if you're a lot fatter than you used to be, and find yourself lasting much longer than you used to, you will want to see your doctor and get tested,” they recommended.
