The hugely successful Mormon superstar DJ (the Times said he now earns US$200,000 a set) came across as humble, articulate and intelligent in the lengthy feature, though admitted some of his less enlightened fellow Mormons are uncomfortable with his hedonism focused career.

“And I’m like ‘No, man, I’m not. Listen to my music,” he said.
The fundamentalist Christian religion demands followers abstain from alcohol, tobacco and tea and coffee as well as sexual temptations and loss of self-control.
“Avoid people, situations, pictures or reading materials that might create sexual excitement,” the late Mark E. Petersen from the Council of the 12 Apostles recommended in a 1970 document allegedly subsequently distributed to students at Brigham Young University.
“In the field of psychotherapy there is a very effective technique called aversion therapy,” he continued.
“When we associate or think of something very distasteful with something which has been pleasurable, but undesirable, the distasteful thought and feeling will begin to cancel out that which was pleasurable.
“If you associate something very distasteful with your loss of self-control it will help you to stop the act. For example, if you are tempted to masturbate, think of having to bathe in a tub of worms, and eat several of them as you do the act.”
