Artist name: Mihalis Safras

How long have you been in the business?

In terms of DJing I have been in da house for more than 17 years. But producing-wise my first release came out in mid-2006.

It's a good thing is that I am still feeling like not even a day has passed.

What is your career highlight to date?

Each day proves that a new highlight is upon each minute... I thought in 2007 when Sven charted a track of mine as n1 that this was my highlight but after releasing on labels like Toolroom, Skint, Great Stuff or other labels I used to buy their vinyl then I said..Hightlights? Not for me :)

What’s the biggest crowd you’ve played to?

I think was Space in 2011 or Berghain in the same year? I can't really remember but for sure I enjoyed both!

What’s been your personal favourite remix or production that you’ve made?

Up to date I am in love with my remix for legend Kerri Chandler, released on infamous New York label King Street aroung May 2013. Can't wait for that bad boy to be out and played loud!

Who would be your dream collaborator?

I already had UK bad boy called Mark Broom..Great person, great producer! Wouldn't change that!

Which act do you think we should watch in 2013?

Regarding Safras you shall watch out the remixes for Kerri Chandler, Doomwork and Marshall Jefferson on Skint.

Plus I'm just out of the studio with Kiko producing some bangers that we will keep a sectet when to release those

In general we all must keep an eye on the new direction that dance scene is moving cause mark my is coming back!

What one piece of advice would you give a young DJ producer reading this?

There are hard times for new producers since there is a great amount of competition.... But love what you do and sooner or later the prize will come back at you!

What do you like best about

Cheapest shop around! Solid database with easy and smooth interface! What else can a maniac like me ask for?:)
