Andy C Ram Record Warehouse Party
They top off 2013 and begin 2014 with one seriously good NYE party and one incredible NYD event, so we thought it was about time we caught up with one of the master minds behind the brand, Paul Jack, to find out the secret to there rising success.
It’s great to be speaking with you. Can you tell the readers where you are in the world today and what you’ve been up to over the last 7 days?
Sitting in our LWE office in Aldgate East getting ready for this weekends sold out Drumcode Halloween show and working on all the other shows we have on sale at the moment including Cocoon, New Years Eve and our biggest event yet New Years Day at Tobacco Dock.
You’ve been throwing parties with Will Harold as London Warehouse Events for over 3 years now. How did you guys join forces and where did it all begin?
LWE is actually 3 partners, me, Will and Alice Favre. Will has been working in dance music since leaving school, we met when he was head of bookings at Matter and I was promoting my own Halcyon events at the venue. Alice joined us at roughly the same time to take control of our production and finances having worked with Bestival, Glastonbury and run the Opera house in Bournemouth for many years.
It’s fair to say you’ve grown and had more success each year. What do you think has been the secret to your success?
Its certainly been a bit of a crazy ride for us since we kicked of as the LWE trio 3 years ago. Each year we have grown more then 100% and our shows are getting stronger, more varied and selling out in advance sooner. We have some amazing events coming up and a few firsts such as our 1st event at Brixton academy on Friday 1st November with Ram Records which has just 100% sold out in advance. A whole host of events at the Building Six venue we have taken over and of course all roads lead to Tobacco Dock for New years Day. 2014 already has some incredible shows planned but can’t say anything just yet..but mega comes to mind!
You’ve hosted parties with Red Bull, Ram Records, Speaker Box, Halcyon and Drumcode amongst others. What are the benefits of joining forces with such established brands and how have you managed to achieve this is such a short space of time?
A combination of Will having built up strong relationships and LWE delivering sold out events that are unique with high production values and different to what other promoters can offer.
