Dragonfly Records throw exclusive 'Wingmakers' party on 29th Oct

Reported by Ed Real on September 6, 2004

Stop Press! If celebrating the launch of 'Wingmakers' wasn't enough
Dragonfly in conjunction with The Orb's first appearance together of the
original line up in ten years is very proud to announce the release of
their brand new single?...the suitably sublime 'Appletree'. Already causing
a stir on a few limited white labels 'Appletree' will be released through
Liquid Sound Design on Monday 15th November on cd and online.

You know it's an auspicious occasion when the legendary Dragonfly Records
decides to hold a party. Never one to do things by half Dragonfly will be
pulling out all the stops to celebrate the launch also of the hugely
anticipated 'Wingmakers' album (released Oct 2004).

To be held at the newly renovated Coronet in London's Elephant & Castle on
Friday 29th October between 9pm - 7 am, leaked news of the line up has
already sent the trance fraternity into a frenzy with ticket outlets being
deluged for tickets prior to their release. Putting the rumours to bed we
can now confirm this truly superb line up:

The Blue Room:
Reading like a whose who of the international trance scene the main Blue
Room will host the mighty talents of the some of the scenes brightest
stars, DJing will be Serge Souque ? founder of Total Eclipse and now
recording as The Antidote on Solstice Music, Pogo ? the man behind the
outstanding 'Wingmakers' album and seminal parties of the same name,
Dragonfly label stalwarts Humphrey Bacchus & Nick Jones alongside Henry
Seligman from Kamaflage Records/U Need Music.
On the live front Tristan (Wingmakers / Twisted) will weigh in with his
superb live show whilst Dragonfly act Quadra will be flying in from the USA
to make his much anticipated live debut in the UK.

The White Room:
The line up in The White Room reads like a 'whose who' of the pioneers of
Chill Out. The star studded line up includes the three original members of
The Orb -  Jimmy Cauty (The KLF and Black Smoke), Dr Alex Patterson (The
Orb) and Youth (Dub Trees & Killing Joke) playing together for the first
time in over ten years. If that wasn't enough the groundbreaking Matt Black
(Coldcut / Ninja Tunes) and Pathaan (Stoned Asia & Ministry Of Sound)
complete this already dream line up.

The Samba & Latino Room
Just to mix things up a little Dragonfly have added a third room for those
who like all things Latin ? The Samba & Latino Room. Get ready for a fiesta
of South American flavas with a host of Brazilian Dj's and live music all
washed down with some of the best Caiprinihas this side of Rio care of our
especially created Cocktail Bar.

With a state of the art sound system supplied by Funktion-One Sound, & mind
blowing light shows by Mad Brothers Visuals plus the venue dressed by NOS
(flying in from Sweden) all signs are pointing to another seminal Dragonfly

To be missed at your peril?..
