Ticket sales for first Dance Valley Weekender very successful abroad

Reported by Trackitdown TID on May 24, 2005

When a few friends from Amsterdam got the idea of organising a party in recreational Area Spaarnwoude, back in 1996, they never could have foreseen that that place would turn in to a dance place of pilgrimage. On august 5, 6 and 7, a new landmark is set for Dance Valley Festival: in the vicinity of Amsterdam the first and only weekender of the “Woodstock of Dance” will take place. Brian Bout, CEO of UDC mentions: ‘The weekend tickets are doing especially well and not only in the Netherlands. We just received a phone call from the UK with the request for a few extra 1000 weekend tickets for the English market. The run for the campsite tickets shows us the public appreciates this new and unique impulse to turn the biggest dance festival into a weekender’.

This year’s campsite is a new phenomenon in Spaarnwoude. Brian Bout: ‘Warm weather and the beginning of the festival season…it ‘s all coming and we can actually feel this. Dance Valley is unique, the campsite is unique, not to mention the co operation with sponsors like Heineken, Vodafone, Daily Telegraph and Radio 538. People that stay for two nights will be treated to special surprises. We said earlier we would surpass all previous editions and all other dance events. A short while ago we, and our partners sat down and we came up with fantastic new incentives for the public. I promised our partners to keep everything a secret, but let me assure the people; the campsite is going to be worth spending every penny’.
