Triplicate Audio continue the journey through 360 degrees of DnB with an E.P. just in time for the summer festivals and raves. Label artist J.O.E. delivers four cuts perfect for that BBQ or to get down and dusty any time of the day at a festival. The title track When Summer Rains is a classic liquid amen roller that builds in a typical fashion which gives way to filtered sun-kissed housey stabs, big band punches, vintage vocals and rolling subs that will having you feeling the summer vibrations. The second track Do You builds pressure quickly with disco strings and filtered breaks. Out of nowhere come solid steppy beats, anthemic pianos, bleepy arps and soulful vocal chops which launch you into a blissful state of summer. Track 3 Marty brings the mood down a notch to the 3am mark, with a classic break reworked to two step perfection. Starting off with brooding pads and gliss fx and a creepy grand piano, Marty leads you to a state of apprehension before a familiar vocal drops into a huge low passed bass that send you deep vibrations. Last track on the E.P comes in the form of Orphic, atmospheric pads and jungle birds punctuate a chunky worm break reminiscent of the original early 2000 liquid style. Off beat chord stabs and dubbed out vocal chops give way to deep 808 subs and old world order pads, building further more into dubbed out elements allowing the track roll out and breathe. A must have release for all the liquid heads and DnB aficionados alike.
