Juan Belmonte Music S.L.
May 20, 2016
To speak about Juan Belmonte is to speak of one of the true game changers of both the dance music and pop scenes in Spain. His body of work is as extensive as it is remarkable, always delivering top notch remixes and productions and never afraid to do something different. Right after putting to rest his iconic production team Pumpin' Dolls in 2005, Juan Belmonte locked himself in the studio to work on his ambitious project Fabulosa: a personal take on electronic dance music. Experimenting through several styles of the electronic sound, it became as much as a sonic study as it is an art piece. The construction of the tracks range from the very elemental to very intricate soundscaping, always fresh and cutting edge. 2016 is the perfect time for that album to see the light again, celebrating the 10th anniversary of its release. With a fresh ear and know-how, Belmonte decides to revisit all of the songs, and manages to enhance the sound of the album and bringing it to the present day while keeping it true to the its original essence. When you listen to Fabulosa, you can't help but notice all of the influences on Juan's work. From the uplifting, feel-good tone in Your Love Is Dangerous and Take Me Away to the clean and elegant approach on Clone Nights; the funk-infused Never Give Up and the darker, more abstract sound in Never Sleep and Autumn with reminiscent of the 80's breaks; the monophonic-synth symphony that is Love Tricorder; and the glimpses of the infamous Techno sound of Valencia on Plenitude; It is all there, and it's timeless. Wether in a club, lounge or kicking back at the beach; brace yourself for an epic a journey through electronic music, by the hand of Juan Belmonte's Fabulosa: 10 Anniversary Edition.
