Deep / Tech House

Over the past few years, one producer has been repeatedly making his way into the playlists of the biggest and best in the industry. Known for his notable underground and industrial sounds is the young Italian, Romulo. This EP showcases his raw sounds in two originals, along with a seriously groovy remix from Archila. "People Around" opens with a dark drum beat, accented raw snares and hats shine through, giving the track a distinct rough edge. A thick, rumbling bass booms underneath, topped with catchy vocal snaps and a variety of effects that tie this warehouse slammer together nicely. Taking a turn for a smooth, rolling tech vibe is the remix from Archila. The vocal lines shine through, showcasing a crossover between 80s dance and the modern rolling sound of today. This one is a weapon that will switch up the vibe in any application. Romulo brings the EP to a close with "Wus' Up", a percussive tech roller which is just what you need to get the crowd moving and grooving. Swung syncopated rhythms dance around freely, with brief breakdowns sustaining a tension that's quickly done away with a seriously groovy drop. A warm-up set essential.
